Hosted by: London Walker, State of Colorado OIT

Email: london.walker@state.co.us

Duration: 2 hours

Overview

Accessibility has become a big topic in the past few years, and with more organizations requiring accessibility compliance, you may be met with the challenge of making your GIS accessible.

In this workshop we will learn to create an accessible map and mapping app. We will be making a Colorado address and parcel viewer using ArcGIS Online. We will go step by step through WCAG 2.2AA and other good accessibility practices. We will walk through color contrast, reflow, and more. Accessible GIS can be accomplished by anyone, no previous experience is required.
