Session Abstract:

In summer 2023, Dewberry and Teton County teamed up to migrate the county’s GIS platform. The goal was to bring Teton’s spatial data and GIS in house by standing up a new Esri platform for staff and the community. Deadlines were tight, scope was growing, and the team embarked on a migration journey with more twists than the Snake River.

12 months on, the new platform is live, and the county has hired its first full-time GIS employee. Migration required a hefty amount of collaboration between vendors, planners, assessors, treasurers, clerks and other groups. Valuable lessons were learned along the way about technology, data, communications and more! We’re excited to share those lessons with you. Come and listen to our story featuring plats, parcels and even petitions.
